Adco-Ceftriaxone uses and description

Sort by popularity
Adco-Ceftriaxone - Adco-Ceftriaxone is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin (SEF a low spor in) antibiotics. It works by fighting bacteria in your body.

Adco-Ceftriaxone injection is used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections, including severe or life-threatening forms such as meningitis.

Adco-Ceftriaxone may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Adco-Ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin/cephamycin beta-lactam antibiotic used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible, usually gram-positive, organisms. Adco-Ceftriaxone has in vitro activity against gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. The bactericidal activity of Adco-Ceftriaxone results from the inhibition of cell wall synthesis and is mediated through Adco-Ceftriaxone binding to penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). Adco-Ceftriaxone is stable against hydrolysis by a variety of beta-lactamases, including penicillinases, and cephalosporinases and extended spectrum beta-lactamases.
