Foxair - Pharmacology: Exerts potent anti-inflammatory effect on nasal passages.

Indication: Relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses ( Cutivate cream in patients 3 mo of age or older and ointment in adults); relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of atopic dermatitis ( Cutivate lotion); management of the nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic and nonallergic rhinitis in adults and children 4 yr of age and older ( Flonase ); maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in patients 4 yr of age and older ( Flovent Diskus, Flovent HFA ); treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in patients 2 yr of age and older ( Veramyst ); patients requiring oral corticosteroid therapy for asthma ( Flovent Diskus, Flovent HFA ).

Nasal Treatment and prophylaxis of allergic rhinitis

Adult: 100 mcg into each nostril once daily, increased to 100 mcg bid.

Child: >4 yr: 50 mcg into each nostril once daily, increased to 50 mcg bid. Nasal Nasal polyps

Adult: As propionate: 200 mcg to be instilled into each nostril 1-2 times daily for at least 4-6 wk. Inhalation Asthma prophylaxis

Adult: As powder or aerosol: 100-250 mcg bid in mild cases, up to 500-1000 mcg bid in severe cases.

Child: As powder or aerosol: >4 yr: Initially, 50-100 mcg bid. May increase to 200 mcg, if necessary. Inhalation Severe asthma

Adult: As nebuliser: 0.5-2 mg bid.

Child: As nebuliser: 4-16 yr: 1 mg bid. Inhalation Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Adult: As powder or aerosol: 500 mcg bid. Topical/Cutaneous Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses

Adult: As propionate: Apply a 0.05 or 0.005% cream/ointment onto affected area.

Foxair helps to relieve inflammation and itch that may occur with certain skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis. Foxair belongs to a group of medicines called steroids.

Foxair is used to treat asthma. Foxair belongs to a group of medicines called "steroids". Steroids reduce the inflammation in the airways of your lungs. This helps to relieve chest tightness, wheezing and cough so that you can breathe more easily. Foxair is a preventive asthma medicine which must be used regularly long-term. Foxair cannot relieve an acute asthma attack.

Foxair helps to alleviate the constant runny nose associated with allergic rhinitis, non-allergic seasonal rhinitis and the common cold.

Indications:

Adult: Topical Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses As 0.05 or 0.005% oint/cream: As propionate: Apply as directed. Inhalation Prophylaxis of asthma As powd or aerosol: As propionate: 100-250 mcg twice daily, up to 500-1,000 mcg twice daily in severe cases. Chronic severe asthma As nebuliser: As propionate: 0.5-2 mg twice daily. COPD As powd or aerosol: As propionate: 500 mcg twice daily. Nasal Allergic rhinitis As propionate: 100 mcg into each nostril once daily, up to 100 mcg twice daily. Nasal polyps As propionate: Instill 200 mcg into each nostril 1-2 times/day for at least 4-6 wk.

Topical/Cutaneous Skin disorders

Adult: As propionate: Apply a 0.05 or 0.005% cream/ointment onto affected area. Nasal Prophylaxis and treatment of allergic rhinitis
