Krytantek Ofteno uses and description

Sort by popularity
Krytantek Ofteno consists of Timolol, Dorzolamide, Brimonidine.

Timolol - Used for: Treating high blood pressure. It is also used to help prevent a second heart attack in patients who have survived a first heart attack and are stable and to prevent migraines. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) is a beta-blocker. It works by interfering with body chemicals that shrink blood vessels and interfere with normal heart contractions.

Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) is in a group of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins).

Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).

Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Similar to propranolol and nadolol, Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) is a non-selective, beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist. Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) does not have significant intrinsic sympathomimetic, direct myocardial depressant, or local anesthetic (membrane-stabilizing) activity, but does possess a relatively high degree of lipid solubility. Timolol, when applied topically to the eye, has the action of reducing elevated, as well as normal, intraocular pressure, whether or not accompanied by glaucoma. Elevated intraocular pressure is a major risk factor in the pathogenesis of glaucomatous visual field loss and optic nerve damage.

Timolol belongs to a group of drugs called beta blockers. Like other beta blockers, it blocks the action of sympathetic nervous system (heart effects). In addition to the heart effects, Timolol also reduces intra-ocular pressure that in its turn reduces the damage to the optic nerve and loss of sight during Glaucoma.

Indications:

  • If you have ever suffered from allergy to Timolol, beta-blockers, or any other drugs.
  • You are currently using another type of eye medication
  • If you ever experienced the following conditions be sure to report it to your health care provider:
  • Ling disease
  • Heart failure
  • Thyroid
  • heart disease
  • diabetes
  • myasthenia gravis
  • If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
  • If you were having dental or any other types of surgery.
  • If you have any eye related problems or dysfunctions
  • If you were lenses or your vision is impaired

  • Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure in the eye. Krytantek Ofteno (Timolol) helps to lower the pressure in the eye. If left untreated, an increase in pressure within the eye can cause loss of vision and damage to the eyes.

Chronic open-angle glaucoma. Aphakic glaucoma. Patients with elevated intraocular pressure at sufficient risk to require lowering of the ocular pressure. Additive in patients responding inadequately to multiple antiglaucoma drug therapy

Indications: Open angle glaucoma, aphakic glaucoma, secondary glaucoma.

    Raised intraocular pressure.

Dorzolamide - Pharmacology: Inhibits carbonic anhydrase enzyme, reducing rate of aqueous humor formation and thus lowering IOP.

Indication: Treatment of elevated IOP in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Krytantek Ofteno (Dorzolamide) is topical CA inhibitor that is indicated for the reduction of elevated IOP in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to beta-blockers. Krytantek Ofteno (Dorzolamide) reduces IOP by approximately 17-23% in patients with elevater IOP.

Krytantek Ofteno (Dorzolamide) is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure in the eye. Krytantek Ofteno (Dorzolamide) helps to lower the pressure in the eye. If left untreated, an increase in pressure within the eye can cause loss of vision and damage to the eyes.

    Ophthalmic Ocular hypertension, Open-angle glaucoma

Adult: As 2% eye drops: 1 drop tid; bid when used with a topical β-blocker.

    Indications:

Adult: Ophth Ocular HTN; Open-angle glaucoma As 2% soln: Instill 1 drop 3 times/day.

Brimonidine - Krytantek Ofteno (Brimonidine) significantly lowers intraocular pressure with minimal effects on cardiovascular and pulmonary parameters. It lowers intraocular pressure by reducing aqueous humor production and increasing uveoscleral outflow.

Krytantek Ofteno (Brimonidine) is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure in the eye. Krytantek Ofteno (Brimonidine) helps to lower the pressure in the eye. If left untreated, an increase in pressure within the eye can cause loss of vision and damage to the eyes.

    Ophthalmic Open-angle glaucoma

    Adult: Instill 1 drop of a 0.2% solution bid-tid.

For lowering of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The IOP-lowering effect of Krytantek Ofteno (Brimonidine) tartrate diminishes over time in some patients. This loss of effect appears with a variable time of onset in each patient and should be closely monitored.

Used for: Lowering eye pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or increased pressure of the eye (ocular hypertension).

Krytantek Ofteno (Brimonidine) is an alpha-adrenergic agonist. It works by decreasing fluid production and pressure inside the eye.
