Lutinus uses and description

Sort by popularity
Lutinus - Lutinus is a female hormone important for the regulation of ovulation and menstruation.

Lutinus is used to cause menstrual periods in women who have not yet reached menopause but are not having periods due to a lack of Lutinus in the body. Lutinus is also used to prevent overgrowth in the lining of the uterus in postmenopausal women who are receiving estrogen hormone replacement therapy.

Lutinus should not be used to prevent heart disease or dementia, because this medication may actually increase your risk of developing these conditions.

Lutinus may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Pharmacology: Inhibits secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, thereby preventing follicular maturation and ovulation; transforms proliferative endometrium into secretory endometrium.

Lutinus is necessary to increase endometrial receptivity for implantation of an embryo and to maintain pregnancy.

Indication: Injection

Amenorrhea and abnormal uterine bleeding caused by hormonal imbalance in the absence of organic pathology (eg, uterine cancer).

Gel

Lutinus supplementation or replacement as part of an assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment for infertile women with Lutinus deficiency.

Capsules

Prevention of endometrial hyperplasia in nonhysterectomized postmenopausal women receiving conjugated estrogen tablets.

Capsules and Gel

Use in secondary amenorrhea.

Vaginal Insert

Support embryo implantation and early pregnancy by supplementation of corpus luteal function as part of an ART treatment program for infertile women.

Used for: Protecting the lining of the uterus in certain women who are also taking estrogen. It is used to treat certain women who have do not have a menstrual period because of decreased Lutinus in the body. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Lutinus is a hormone. It works by changing the lining of the uterus.

Lutinus is a progestogen. This medication causes a transition in the endometrium of proliferative phase, called follicular hormone in the secretory phase, and after fertilization promotes its transition to a state necessary for the development of a fertilized egg. Lutinus reduces the excitability and contractility of the muscles of the uterus and fallopian tubes, stimulates the development of terminal elements of the breast. It has no androgenic activity. This drug has little effect on protein metabolism, promotes fat deposit and accumulation of glucose in the liver and reduces the reabsorption of sodium in renal tubules.

Lutinus has a blocking effect on the secretion of hypothalamic factors LH and FSH release, inhibits the formation of the pituitary gonadotropin-releasing hormone and inhibits ovulation.

Lutinus is a naturally occuring progestin or a synthetic form of the naturally occurring female sex hormone, progesterone. In a woman\'s normal menstrual cycle, an egg matures and is released from the ovaries (ovulation). The ovary then produces progesterone, preventing the release of further eggs and priming the lining of the womb for a possible pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, Lutinus levels in the body remain high, maintaining the womb lining. If pregnancy does not occur, Lutinus levels in the body fall, resulting in a menstrual period. Lutinus tricks the body processes into thinking that ovulation has already occurred by maintaining high levels of the synthetic progesterone. This prevents the release of eggs from the ovaries.

Lutinus also known as P4 (pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione) is a C-21 steroid hormone involved in the female menstrual cycle, pregnancy (supports gestation) and embryogenesis of humans and other species. Lutinus belongs to a class of hormones called progestogens, and is the major naturally occurring human progestogen.

Lutinus is commonly manufactured from the yam family, Dioscorea. Dioscorea produces large amounts of a steroid called diosgenin, which can be converted into Lutinus in the laboratory.
