Recit - Recit is a centrally acting sympathomimetic. This medication is highly selective potent inhibitor of presynaptic norepinephrine transporters. Recit has minimal affinity to the other noradrenergic receptors or to other transporters or receptors of neurotransmitters.
This drug does not apply to psychostimulants and it is not a derivative of amphetamine. In clinical trials there were not noted of increase symptoms or any adverse events associated with withdrawal syndrome.
Indications: attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder
Classified as a norepinephrine (noradrenaline) reuptake inhibitor, Recit is approved for use in children, adolescents, and adults. However, its efficacy has not been studied in children under six years old. Its advantage over stimulants for the treatment of ADHD is that it has less abuse potential than stimulants,[2][3] is not scheduled as a controlled substance |
