TAURIX - TAURIX is an antibiotic. It is used to treat certain bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs or skin. TAURIX belongs to a group of antibiotics called the macrolides.
Indications: Respiratory tract infections.
Caused by Streptococcal pharyngitis, pneumococci and H.
Prophylaxis of rheumatic fever and SABE.
Diphtheia, Tetanus, syphilis and gonorrhoea.
Infections caused by,Branh, catarrhalis, Gard.
vagindalis, legionella and B.
TAURIX is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat respiratory tract, urinary and soft tissue infections. TAURIX is derived from erythromycin, containing the same 14-membered lactone ring. However, an N-oxime side chain is attached to the lactone ring. It is also currently undergoing clinical trials for the treatment of male-pattern hair loss. TAURIX is available under several brandnames, for example, Roxl-150, Roxo, Surlid, Rulide, Biaxsig, Roxar, Roximycin, Roxomycin, Tirabicin and Coroxin.
